Dual Enrollment - Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program (BNAT)

BNAT Program

The Basic Nursing Assistant Training (BNAT) program prepares students to work in the health care industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). With this certificate you can go onto a Nursing Program to further your
career. The BNAT program begins in spring 2025 on the Moraine Valley campus, with lecture and lab sessions Monday through Thursday from 1 to 3:15 p.m., along with four to five clinical sessions. Clinicals are on Saturdays and Sundays, typically lasting about 8-10 hours. Students are responsible for transportation to Moraine Valley and clinical sites. Successful completers will receive seven college credits and qualify for the llinois State Competency Exam as early as June 2025. Moraine Valley’s Basic Nurse Assistant Training Program is approved by the Illinois
Department of Public Health (IDPH).
