Emergency Medical Technician Program (EMT)
This program will prepare you to become a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Illinois, then go on to a Paramedic or Fire Science Program. You will master the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level. Your training will consist of lecture and lab sessions in addition to several clinical sessions. Students who complete this program will earn 8 college credits and are eligible to take the Illinois Department of Public Health EMT State Examination. After passing the exam, you may seek employment in 911 services and ambulance response.
