Instructional Coach/English Teacher

   I have two roles at ABS; I am both an English teacher and an Instructional Coach.   
   I love teaching; I knew when I was little that I wanted to be a teacher. It is a privilege to foster students' reading, writing and critical thinking skills, and it is rewarding to see their progress! 
   Teaching is an awesome career, but it is also a very challenging profession, so I also love having the ability to research best practice and learn from colleagues and students as an instructional coach.  It is awesome to collaborate with teachers as we set goals for student learning, implement research-based strategies, respond to where students are at in their learning and reflect on our impact!
