District 218 is taking high school freshmen to local colleges all spring!
College visits for freshmen can be highly beneficial, especially for students who are early in their
academic journey or already curious about postsecondary options. For many students, stepping
onto a college campus helps spark excitement, build confidence, and create a tangible
connection to their future.
Most of our campus visits will take place at Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC), an
institution that supports a wide range of postsecondary pathways. MVCC not only encourages
students pursuing traditional degree programs, but also those interested in certificate and
career-focused programs, making it an ideal setting for early exploration. It is our hope that this
early exposure will instill a sense of possibility and motivation, driving meaningful college and
career exploration throughout students’ high school experience.

Students who would like to attend must…
1. Register - on the Events page of SchooLinks
2. Form - Pick up a permission form from the Counseling Department
3. Signatures - Obtain parent/guardian and teacher permission
4. Submit form - bring your completed form to the Counseling Department
