English 2-Period 7

Course Description

Grading Policy: Your final grade will reflect your mastery of the skills learned throughout the whole semester. This will come from many places. Your common assessments, quizzes, essays, homework, in-class work, and final exam will all be a major component of your grade. When you receive homework, it is there to help you be on track with the rest of the class. All homework is designed to assist students in moving toward mastery of the reading, writing and grammar skills being taught, so please take homework seriously. You will never have “busy work” that will not help you succeed in class and in real life. Late Policy: Late work will not be accepted unless you have made an arrangement with the instructor BEFORE the due date. Of course, exceptions will be made in the case of emergencies, but it is up to the discretion of the teacher to handle individual situations. NOTE: If you are absent but you know an assignment was due while you were gone, you must have that assignment when you return to school. Also, please receive your missing work from a reliable classmate or your teacher. If a student has NOT made arrangements prior to a due date in regards to accepting work late, late work will NOT be given FULL credit.
